Biggest movie theater letdown?

For me it was definitely Halloween Resurrection. Coming off of H20 I was riding high, loved the series, expected way too much. Even if I had 0 expectations, there's no way I could've liked it. What movie let you down in the theater the most?

Lords of the Deep (89)
I was 16 and had a huge crush on Priscilla Barnes, it was a sci-fi actioner set underwater, aliens were involved and man, Barnes was just a beauty!

Hells Bells that was a clunker!!!
Biggest letdown ever:(
Even the monsters looked stupid...uggh

To all of those fans out there, this is strictly how I felt back when it hit the theaters and I went to see it. There had been so much hype. I'd heard about how great it was and I'd seen so many clips on talk shows. It didn't exactly live up to my expectations. In fact, I dozed off in the middle of it.
I tried watching it again a few years later on HBO. It was definitely a letdown.

The X-files movie. Maybe it's because I hadn't seen season 5 yet and wasn't aware that the quality had already dropped significantly. But man, that movie was so disappointing, boring as hell.

reply

The second one was even worse.

reply

I've never seen it, but I'll take your word for it.

reply

You are not missing much.

reply

I liked the first one. The second film is the only movie I've seen at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Boy that second movie was a huge disappointment. I'll always remember the bad movie I saw at a cool theatre.

Batman vs Superman. It was terrible to say the least.

reply

Was godawful. I am so glad I did not go to the cinema for that one.

It was the last movie I saw in theaters. I hated it so much! I don't know what I was expecting but something better than what I got.

reply

My anticipation was so high. It's Batman versus Superman, ffs! What could go wrong?? Absolutely the biggest dissapointment for any DC fan.
