Actors who fell off the map

I submit Laura Ramsey, she was in the movie The Ruins from 2008, she was in She's the Man, on one episode of Mad Men. She hasn't been in anything for 3 years.

Freddie Prinze Jr.

reply

Yeah but he did have a pretty big voice acting role as a main character in the Star Wars show Rebels that ended just this year.

reply

better than nothing I guess. doing voice over work at 42 kind of sad.

reply

Yeah but that Disney money is no joke. FPJ makes way more money than me even when he's slumming it.

reply

Everything is relevant but he has missed out on his 30s when he should have been getting big movie roles or at least a high profile TV series.

reply

Yeah he definitely didn't make the most of his early success, agree on that point.

reply

Evidently he does a lot of voice work as well as a backstage creative role in WWE.

reply

Josh Hartnett

reply

Yeah that's very true. I'm trying to think of the last new thing I saw him in and coming up blank. Sin City probably and that was like 05.

reply

He was excellent in "Penny Dreadful." Highly recommended.

reply

I've been meaning to watch that.

reply

I saw an interview recently that he chose to step away from Hollywood to focus on his wife and kids. He still takes roles in lower-profile productions that better fit with his personal life.

reply

Rudolph Valentino

*rim shot*

reply

No thank you

reply

I guess I was more talking about people who continued living but their movie career stopped. Although I guess untimely death does fit the bill.

reply

His career fell off the map towards the end

reply

I guess I don't know enough about him. I thought he was working up until his death. I thought of this thread because it's not uncommon to have a steady stream of crud, but it's weird to just stop acting altogether. Rene Russo had a pretty long break but she came back.

Hayden Christensen

reply

I really like Shattered Glass. He has amazing chops that he almost never shows.

reply

Shattered Glass proved that more character-focused writing and direction can allow his talents to shine through.

reply

Rachael Lee Cook

LeeLee Sobieski

reply

I read something where Leelee is a mom and doesn't miss acting at all. I thought she was decent. I keep seeing things where I think It's Rachael Lee Cook and it's just some new version of her. I thought Shailene Woodley on Big Little Lies was her until I looked her up.

reply

Bridget Fonda hasn't done much since 2002. Then again, she's married to Danny Elfman, so I imagine the bills are getting paid.

reply

Yeah is gone from the biz for sure.

Yes and yes

reply

Mike probably retired on Austin Powers money.

reply

Val Kilmer?

Haven't seen him since Heat was it! Very good actor now nowhere to be seen. :(

reply

I really liked him but ive read that he was a huge pain in the ass to work with-
An egomaniac and diva type...who knows, but he sure has vanished!
