Body wash or bar soap?

Looks like bar soap is going the way of VCRs, at least where I live. Last time I bought some, both grocery stores I go to only had maybe 6 kinds to choose from.

Except for a display of handmade soaps! Which I'd buy, but haven't found a scent I like.

So I've adapted to body wash and one of those net scrunchy-like scrubby things for bathing, and liquid soap from Trader Joe's for kitchen and bathroom sinks.

You?

Body wash is a gimmick, a way to sell you less for more.

I have a well and the water is hard...i'm telling you straight that the body wash is best for deep water well users...no lie McQualude
Regular bar soap just doesn't lather up like it should...wells are annoying and the water is too hard

You also need to add a large tank of salt/water conditioner in the basement near the well intake...its very difficult to keep the water just right...if you dont keep it proper it feels like hot gravel is hitting you

reply

Lather is a marketing scheme, it isn't necessary for soap to work. Just buy dish soap and thin about 30% with water, same thing but cheaper. That's what I use in all our hand soap dispensers, no one has ever noticed.

Glycerin based bar soap.

I'm setting you up for a big one.
Don't disappoint me!

You bathe in what?

I scrub my bush REAL HARD, too.

reply

Sometimes, but you just gotta keep scrubbing until it's all numb and then the pain is gone.

Bar soap. The packaging it comes in is a lot less environmentally damaging. Too much damn plastic in this world!

reply

I use the bar soaps. The Hypoallergenic Dove is what I like the best, because it helps protect against skin dryness, as well.

I'm a real man.
I stand outside and let the wind clean me.

Other than that I use bar soap.
Always and forever Zest.

Ach, come along, me man. Everyone knows the most manly of soaps is the two-toned Iiiirish Spring. They even cut it with a manly knife to prrrove it.

Aye, says me the woman, but I like it too!

If I had a turtle neck and could whistle like that guy I would, but I don't so I won't.
