Have You Found A Fried?

Onion ring in with your fries or vice versa?

Or other fried products.

Feel free to share in the comments down below!

reply

Love french fries.

reply

French frieds are the best you can eat in South East Asia!

reply

French fries, yum! Onion rings, pass. Pan-fried potatoes, 😋 Fried chicken, 😋 Pan-fried bacon, 😋😋😋

reply

Onion rings are a possible kiss stopper. Them and garlic.

It takes guts to eat either on a date Glen.

reply

Yep, onions and garlic are not conducive to "romance." But I'm weird - I just don't like onions. 🤮

reply

My wife used to use a lot of garlic. I had to wean her off the stuff.

reply

Did you turn her into a vampire Hownos?

reply

She does go out at night

reply

As do we all, as long as she doesn't come back with a dead virgin in a bag you should be OK (Unless you chop them up and deep fry them and leave them in people's onion rings and the like!).

reply

You are on a roll with these!

I don't eat out much but I don't remember the last time I didn't get
at least one different thing in my fries or onion rings.
Sometimes it's just a different type of fry mixed in but there's always at least one.
I always consider it some sort of treat. Like I was the lucky customer that day.
Are you saying this isn't the case?

reply

The title is "Have You Found a Fried?" of course it's a treat.

You must be the luckiest person alive to consistently find one when you eat out so little!

reply

I'd think I'd be luckier if I ate out all the time and this happened.
Now I'm tempted to eat out more just to find out!

I also usually just stick to the same handful of places when I do go out.
Is this a world wide epidemic that it happens so often?

reply

I don't know how often it happens but I do get around a little and it's happens occasionally Dewey.

Only in fast food places though, not so much mom'n'pop joints (Although it has happened in one at least that I recall).

No, I'm going to stick with you being super lucky and having it happen even though you rarely go out.

To stick to that superstitious vibe that people have with routine, don't go out more often, just be more aware of when you do of what you get - heck that might even screw up the system!

reply

I certainly don't want to screw up the system.
Apparently I'm already rocking the boat with some here so couldn't afford to do that.
I'll take super lucky any day of the week.

Just so you know all this talk has made me very hungry.

reply

Perhaps you could take a trip out and buy some fried things and see if your luck still holds.

It is a gamble though Dewey and if it doesn't pan out I don't want to make you feel you've used up all of your luck.

reply

That's a good point. At this point I need all the luck I can get.

I just remembered last Christmas or New Years I ordered Chinese take out.
I ordered a lot of it. I think everything was fine. No surprise treats.
Not sure if Chinese food counts.
I may need a ruling on this.

reply

I'm not sure about Chinese luck Dewey.

I know that if it was last Christmas then it would have been the year of the dog and so perhaps you actually got lucky whereas this year is the year of the chicken and so it's all good.

I'm sure there's a monkey either side and so I hope it was before for both our sakes.

reply

I had to go look and make sure all my dogs were accounted for. So thanks for that!
I'm now hoping it was New Year's.

The monkey comment actually got me laughing out loud. So thanks for that!

reply

I'm always curious as to what qualifies as a monkey.

If I do, then in some places I'm screwed (Would have said fucked, but you know, Mod5!).

I'm almost certain we're into the pig now or next, but again, I could be wrong.

Longpig also gives me cause for concern.

reply

I've wondered about the monkey thing myself.
I've had people tell me to "touch their monkey" but without a simian to be found.

I'm well aware of Mod5 and his antics.

The year of the pig would be perfect. Such a giving animal.

Depending on what region you're from Longpig can be had for a song.
Different strokes and all that.
This brings me right back to Craigslist.
We've come full circle.

reply

You crazy person you!

reply

I'm also an attention whore so there is that.

reply

I too am an attention whore and so maybe that's why we get on!?

Or maybe everyone else is shy?!

reply

Possibly, two birds of a feather and all that.

I thought about the shy angle and don't quite buy it.
I am an attention whore so hear me roar!

reply

I'm certainly not shy. Neither you nor db should think I'm playing things up - just asking questions.

I think there might be a common ground - truly I do.

reply

Yeah, the worst one here. So thanks for confirming that and the fact that you'll do anything to capture a little more.

reply

The worst? Really?
I'm truly honored you put me at the top of your list!
This is a surprise to you? Are you new or something?
Maybe you should go back to detective school.
Me thinks you missed a few classes.

It means the world to me. You'll never know how much.
You despise me, you really, really despise me!

reply

Yes, I do. I thought that was apparent by now.
And it's methinks. Get a clue from Mina.

reply

I know right?

She warned me and I didn't listen.
You always were the smarter one!
Her too btw.

reply

That's right and exactly why you're not going to win this.

reply

This is a competition?
I had no idea.

If it is then you win!!!!
I'll never be able to compete with the likes of you.
You're much too clever and much too intuitive for me.

A pox upon me for being a clumsy troll.

reply

Eating out is something I rarely do but in the past, I've found a curly fry in a large of regular. Let me tell you, I DEVOURED that curly fry like it was the last fry left on Earth. I've also found a small popcorn chicken piece in a 5pc KFC meal, that was pretty neat.

reply

I do enjoy when it is a healthy looking bit of something extra. It's like a little treat that is free and unexpected.

Shame they don't give you dip to go with it 😩

reply

Right? I'd love a little ranch or honey mustard.
I will never turn down anything free!

reply

I'm down with ranch, or maybe thousand island dressing.

Honey mustard and BBQ are a little too sweet for my tastes.

But give me anything spicy, sour or omami and I'm all over it!

reply

I like spicy stuff too and a little sweet baby rays BBQ sauce, mmmm!

Never tried a sour dip though.

reply

Sour is nice, from Asia and so not for everyone's palette at first. Persevere though, it is worth it!

Schezuan sauce is a decent starting point for spicy and sour together.

reply

I'll try it out one day :)

reply

It should come with crushed peanuts if you are going to be true to the province but it is not essential to appreciate the candor that is the ilk of the flavour tW.

Well worth it for opening up your tastebuds and senses to the world.

reply

I'll remember that.

reply

American Fries.

reply

Are they the ones without freedom in them? [giveup]

reply

I think they are 5.99 but on Tuesday they are 6.99.

reply

Shit!

Buy three of them on Monday then Bubba!

Are there cheese deals nearby?

reply

Bubba loves him some fries. The only cheese nearby is Gouda. Which is great because you can say to your friends, gouda to see ya.

reply

Cheesey fries always work. Heaven met!

reply

Scampy Fries - King of the pub snack.

reply

Ah yes! They are!

But are we going lemon scampi fries or baon scampi fries?

And I'm sure there's another too!

And furthermore, I once got a bacon scampi fry in my lemon scampi fries Barry!

Point still stands!

reply

Yep they've got bacon fries and cheese moments, They're a bit dodgy though.

That's some mix, and what happened to the scampy and lemon Nik Naks? They were a worthy successor to the kings.

reply

I've got all the time in the world for all Nik Naks - seriously.

But they dropped the ball when the stopped with the scampi and lemon number - BIG STYLE!

The spicy ones still but the mustard though.

reply

They're nice, agreed on the spicy ones. Not seen the scampy flavour for years. Pity.

reply

McCoy's Chip Shop Flavour Curry Sauce were a dream to have - I don't know why they killed the either.

Maybe all of this is what put us on the road!

I know I got annoyed when Meanies stopped being served in 'convenience stores'.

No reason to keep me then, especially when they bumped up the price of sauce rolls from Greg's (And the tomato soup was always too hot to eat within an hour - cunts!).

reply

😁 Aye they do away with all the good ones, Tudor Gammon and Savoury Straws, there's no need for it.

The Gregg's sausage rolls are great, could eat them all day long, never tried the soup.

reply

Soup's too hot - that's a fact.

The rest of it is fine and dandy in my opinion.

Creole sandwich is a wee bit sweet but what type of complaint is that when you've got steak bakes?

reply

Is it overkill to make fries, cool them, freeze them, then dip them in batter and fry them again with a crispy crust?

reply

We to that thrice in Scotland Spanners!

It's a well loved dish for us.

I'd say check it out but I know you and so don't - do it yourself, you'll love it - especially with thick Chinese curry sauce!

reply

Now I need this! Sounds good

reply

You should try tripled friend beer batter chips in chick curry sauce Spanners.

It's awesome!
