Should I be upset?

My spouse and I have been together for 26 years, happily unmarried. The topic of eye colour came up the other day. Low and behold he asked me what colour my eyes were. We were in a poorly lit room and he couldn't remember what colour my damn eyes are! He then guessed green. No they're blue asshole!

reply

Yeah...fucked up

reply

Tell him his eyes are gray or yellow.

reply

Maybe eye color is not important to him. Be honest. Can you tell him how big his d**k is?

reply

Keep smiling through just like you always do 'til the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away.

reply

The eyes are the window of the soul.

If that's the thing which is upsetting you the most, you lead an excellent life.

And no.

Tell him no sex for a month. That will teach him!

I use to get mad over those type of things early in our marriage, but not now. It's been 37 years. When I think about it, we have both forgotten this and that. That is why we occasionally sit and talk about the good ole days and laugh!' MichiganFrog gave excellent advice. I agree with him.
My husband fixes things. He builds stuff for me when I ask. all I have to do is to draw a rough sketch of an idea I have in mind, and he'll think it over and make it even better than I had dreamed up. That's the sort of thing that floats my boat! At this point, I don't care if he can't remember our anniversary, my birthday,or even the color of my eyes, which aren't as sparkly green as they once were.
If your man is there for you when it counts, why be hurt over the fact that he can't remember the color of your eyes? I'd much rather know that he will always be there for me when I need him in a crisis.
Just my 2 cents worth, which isn't much these days.

Anniversaries? We both forget that!
My husband is the same, he makes ideas happen and I love it. Like building a bamboo arch for a climbing rose for example.

reply

We tend to forget them too. I do remember my husband's birthday each year though. He is a New Years baby so it's easy to remember!

Hmmmmm... I like the idea of a bamboo arch. Those are beautiful!
I can't ask that of my husband though. He has already built my lattice arbor planter a few years ago. The arbor is built around a planter. I grow Morning Glories. They cover that thing each year now.

I really need to delete this post lol! It was days ago and I've moved on. I'm embarrassed that I posted the damn thing. Thanks anyhow.

reply

LOL1 No, don't delete. You gave us all an interesting topic. We all also have gotten to know each other better and that's a good thing.
We have all started threads that have grown and after a few days we almost wish we hadn't.
As you said, you've moved on!
this thread will eventually get buried by other threads, although I am sorry... I apologize for bumping it again

No probs :-)
