Worst job you ever had?

Taking surveys at an agricultural festival. I really half assed that one!

Worst job has to be a tie between when I worked for Sears during the holiday season one year and cold-calling for a shady loan company. Both jobs lacked competent management and basically expected employees to direct their own work tasks. My current job is pretty soul-sucking, but at least it pays better.

I worked a summer at the Del Montes Bean canning factory. I was one of many who sorted beans as the came down a conveyor belt. You stood all night, but you did get 10 minute breaks every two hours. I'd have to pick out all nature of crap such as dead frogs, dead birds, parts of them, and heaven only knows what else that other stuff was.
I hung in there though. It paid good money. It was a night shift so I slept most of the day. When you do that, You save money because you don't spend it!
It wasn't a completely lost summer. I did go out with my friends on my nights off.

That sounds like a terrible job! Standing all right with only a few minutes' break every few hours, picking out icky things from the beans. At least you got paid well for it.

I had a few friends who would go up to Alaska during summers to work in the salmon canneries. Terrible work, but the pay was high.

I guess I've been lucky. All the jobs I've had were great!

Most of my bad jobs were when I was a teen. Dishwasher was the worse. Horrible job with horrible pay. Quit that one and started working at a gift shop owned by 3 Chinese sisters - nicest people ever! I live in a tourist town, so it was really cool interacting with so many people.

Me working at Goodwill during the last couple months of me working there because we've had a management turnover and the new manager was a total b-tch, we've had a lot of employees leaving left and right when she took over, I only lasted 6 months at Goodwill and the first half of me working there was fun because we've had likable management but once the new manager took over everything went downhill, I ended up leaving because I was only contracted to work there for 6 months because I've gotten hired there through a program.
