I was so much older then , I'm younger than that now

When I was younger In used to make fun of parents and other elders for watching " The Lawrence Welk Show "

Now , I enjoy watching it now and then.
I can remember the legendary comedian Lenny Bruce and his Welk impersonation.

The Carol Burnett Show is a legend
Our friend GlenEllyn just posted a link to some of Carol's stuff the other day

It's still hilarious, ridiculous material!
Man, that show needs more mentions-
As funny as anything we have today

reply

Sounds like the show has aged well. Is it a comedy sketch-stand up routine? Most of those age badly due to the heavy use of topical humor, current event references that become dated.

reply

The Burnett show has aged very well
It was a sketch comedy with a fantastic cast and each bit usually revolved around a misunderstanding or a character acting in an absurd manner
It was a perfect comedy skit show...props to GlenEllyn for bringing it up
What a fun show!

reply

That wicked Tarzan yell she can do though, Ah-AH-ah-AH!

I've heard she is such a nice and kind lady, almost as much as GlenEllyn.

reply
