I've been pretty vocal about my distaste for professional sports, but occasionally I like to watch a sports movie. I am a softy for hockey, and I'm from Minnesota, so I quite like The Mighty Ducks. Also, Sudden Death with Van Damme is like a sports thriller which I like, and in a similar vein, Snake Eyes. Also I like Rudy. What are your favorite sports movies?

shareA League of Their Own is very popular on this thread. I love it, and every film Penny Marshall directed. I also really like the Madonna track "This Used to be my Playground" made for the film.
shareWhat I like about this story is that so many of these women had sweethearts and husbands fighting in the war. Others just wanted something better in their lives. They were all talented and true athletes!
These women were great! They had to prove themselves in a man's world.
As for Major League, I love my WILD THING! Charlie made my heart sing!
