Anyone ever sneak their own food in?

I remember back in the day theaters were a lot more against this. Back when movie tickets were like 4 bucks. I was busted a few times and they would take it away. Do they care anymore? Growing up my stepdad was a cheap ass and always made us sneak in our own candy. One time my mom had a bunch of snacks in her jacket (she's a lawyer) and the usher tried to frisk her. And she said "don't touch me or I am calling the police" we went right on in. One other time My dad snuck in burgers and fries (again he's a cheap ass. before movies started selling hot food) and the manager didn't find out till half way through the movie, and the manager was like "I am gonna take it away" and my dad was like " call the police, cause we are not leaving and we are finishing our food"

A flask of chilli, some grated cheese, some sour cream and a bag of Doritos and a Corn Flakes box chopped up to be a box.

Star Trek Nemesis.

My date made the Corn Flakes box.

I still buy stuff from the supermarket first. Their popcorn is always too salty and their drinks too big. You end up peeing most of the movie.

Plus I like the packaged popcorn at my supermarket. Sweet and Salty. And I can buy a good chocolate bar.

When I was a teenager they seemed to out of nowhere crack down on it and be searching peoples bags. That was weird. I remember they demanding that a boy surrender his can of soda before entering. "Can I Have a cup for it?" "No!" yelled the owner. "You want a drink buy one!"

I've even snuck booze in. Once I wanted to get wasted and watched a transformers movie during the day so I brought in a six pack. The usher noticed the clinging of bottles as I left. Don't worry, I barely drink these days :D

I remember back in the early 2000's they took away a zip lock bag of popcorn from my friend and then gave him a voucher for a free popcorn.

When I lived in Indiana in 04/05, I sat down to enjoy Just Like Heaven. I watched this skinny older lady sit in the corner of the theater and unzip her HUGE purse and pull out a 20 oz Coke and a fully popped bag of popcorn. Such a pimp!

I got drunk at the drive-in once or twice with cheap vodka and mtn. dew. These days I much rather have a burger, chili fries and a vanilla milkshake at HOME binge watching one of my current shows.

I still attend the movies weekly. I have a vest that I guess was designed for safari or fishing.I carry it in. I do not wear it. It has many pockets of diverse sizes. Once in my seat the vest doubles as a tablecloth. In it I keep condiments, 3D glasses(two sets of several different types), and sundry candy. I stop at a local food court and bring in anything from pizza(I carry under the vest) or sweet and sour chicken to Chic Filet et al. Basically anything. I have carried in fish & chips from Legal Seafood. Sometimes I pack a sandwich. There is also a large pocket in which I can carry in a fountain soda. I'm normally not thrifty however the inflated cost of food is so over the top that I cannot pay it. Not to mention the challenge...
