Secret in Their Eyes

Chiwetel Ejiofor, Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, with a Dean Morris enhancement. I'm watching this on Netflix and it's really great. There's even a little Alfred Molina to spice things up as well.

I saw this twice already, good movie

You should try the original, it's actually class and makes the US rip-off look like the piece of shit it is Pete.

reply

Will check it out, but I have no problem with remakes if they are well made, well acted, as this one is. It's very possible that both are good movies.

reply

The original is so much better Pete. They are not even comparable to my mind.

Let me know what you think.

reply

Will do

Isn't a spanish version of it?

reply

Argentinian version of it Croft. It is actually a very Argentinian movie as it is set there and requires the 'Dirty War' to tell its tale.

The US setting doesn't work anywhere near as much and shouldn't have had happened in my opinion.

reply

Oh,thanks for that.I saw the trailer for it

Stupid question, though : those countries don't have the same language?

reply

Not really Croft.

In Buenos Aires they speak Porteno and in the rest of Argentina they speak Castellano, both very close to Spanish but neither actually being Spanish. The name for street "Calle" being a good indicator of the difference you'll hear throughout the pronunciation of the language. I; "Yo", is another way of seeing it.

Interesting,thank you😊

Juror 8, I couldn’t agree more. Even the bad guy was a let down, not to mention the ending. The Argentina film is true artistry.

6/10

Argentine version is far more superior.
