I don't know why but black & white TV spoke to me when I was a kid and I would watch TVLand constantly. I watched I Love Lucy, Dick Van Dyke, Bewitched, etc. My mom always watched MASH so I can remember seeing some of their faces and not understanding the jokes at. all. Also Alfred Hitchcock but only at night and surrounded by blankets.
We watched Roseanne together though. Those are good memories.

shareAbsolutely, "Romper Room." She used to look into her mirror at the end of the show. They'd never play with the toys I wanted to play with. Those were never touched. They sat on the shelves in plain view while she'd take out some inane "learning toy."

This show was so good
It was that rarity: a show aimed at children that adults could enjoy too. I binge watched it on Netflix a few months back and was surprised how well so much of it holds up. Mr. Reubens was a true visionary; it's a shame more children's shows aren't guided by artists of his caliber.
