Here's To The Women!

If we can have a thread of misogynist's then we most certainly can do this.

NONE of us would be here without them!

To my mom and grandma who taught me how to have respect, love, be forgiving,
how to nurture, know that I will always be loved and everything in between.

To the women of my life who helped me become a better man and who
taught me about sacrifice and unselfishness.

I wouldn't the person I am today without you.
I love you all!

Please share your thoughts.

reply

Short, concise and to the point.
I concur!

reply

Nicely done!

reply

This is going over well. For some unknown reason, not as popular as the International Misogynists Unite threads 🤔

Still, thanks Dewey and Sandman. A+ for effort!

reply

You notice something did you?
I wish I had checked the board earlier.

It's no effort believe me.
Can't hide from the truth.
Whether you want to admit it or not.

reply

Thank you Sweetheart. I always knew that you are someone special. I know others like you. I married one. It is sad that there aren't other men here who feel as you feel.
Thank you.🌹

reply

I know I'm lucky to have had such wonderful women In my life.
Some may have grown up without these role models but at some time women have touched your life.

Shouldn't just be once a year.
I thank you for everything you do and who your are.
Life's too short to not say what's in your heart.

reply

You're welcome, dewey! It wasn't easy, but together we've created someone who's passable as a human being. 😘

reply

That's really all I can ask at this time.
Baby steps.

Thank you.
xoxo

Here's to Daisy, one of the sweetest, most feminine members here who totally lives up to her namesake.

reply

Very true.
She's a kind, funny, sweet person.
We miss her greatly.

Well said!

reply

She is, and there's no doubt about that. I miss her too, and hope she'll return soon.

But to single out one person out of many (theoretically over half the membership), well, that says something.

reply

Indeed she is db.

The rest of us are dogshit.

My mother born in 1923 and worked retail in various Department stores between having kids. In the 1970s she went to work full time and basically became an assistant store manager. The store manager's position opened up and all the staff wanted my mother to be the manager but head office had other ideas. They brought in some guy who everyone hated and my mother wasn't even granted the decency of an interview. I know she was disappointed but never showed it.

reply

Sounds like a good strong woman.
Like many of that generation.
She knew what she had to do it and just did it.
Not feeling sorry for herself.

It also shows why you are who you are today.
Cheers to your mom.

reply

That's very kind. Thank you.

reply

🍺 To hownos!

reply

Yes cheers to hownos another gentleman.

Well said, godewey. Well said.

I think it shines out of you how much you love and respect women.
We all seem to love you right back.

reply

It sure seems people rather bicker and fight than spread any kind of positivity
especially regarding women.
We've had much more of the negative regarding women compared to anything favorable.

reply

If I can pull anything positive out of this it would be that none of the female posters, whether they agree or disagree on the issue, have resorted to putting men down.

I don't think the world should be split into men vs women. It's not so straightforward and we are all flawed,we've all probably behaved badly and we've all probably been on the receiving end of bad behaviour. The trick is to avoid making a habit of it and find people who like you and get you.

reply

That is a positive.
We can't have the whole population acting like this.

Can't wait for the day when we all just are.
The day that these conversations don't exist.

reply

Me too honey me too.

And I'm going to pull an extra sneaky wish. That one day some of your fellow Americans wake up and realise that defending the right to bear arms doesn't mean that they should inadvertently defend the rights of people to shoot and kill others.

I'm hoping fervently, for the day that nobody excuses and absents the weapon from the debate.

reply

I sure hope so.
I fear more of what's already has happened will happen again and again well before this ever happens.
