Who should play Bond next?
Tom Hiddleston? Tom Hardy? Who?
I really wanted Henry Cavill, but he's already a spy in the poorly recieved film, The Man from UNCLE. So I guess he's out.
But again, Ryan Reynolds was Deadpool once, then Green Lantern, then Deadpool again. And Chris Evans was Human Torch before he became Capt. So I guess bring in Cavill then!
I think a much bigger question is, who should write the next Bond movie?
And, to anticipate other posts, James Bond is white, just as Tarzan is. Idris Elba, who does not belong in the Thor movies, either, cannot be James Bond.
(Please. Show me a black Viking.)
Ryan Reynolds lacks poise, class, charm, dignity, tact and joie de vivre; a long-winded way of saying "not Bond." Henry Cavill is a Corvette. James Bond is both a BMW and an Aston-Martin. Here again, not in Bond's league.
Off the top of my head, I nominate Antony Starr, the actor who MADE the series Banshee. He has style and charisma up the wazoo, he can fight like fuck, he has Connery's deft and light comedic touch, he is ruggedly handsome and not pretty-boy handsome, and he is not a muscular hulk but rather an exceptionally fit Jederman with whom the audience can identify itself and sympathize, and for whom the audience can also fear.
And, to anticipate other posts, James Bond is white, just as Tarzan is.
Bond is my favorite movie spy character. He's better than Bourne, better than Eggsy, xXx, Ethan Hunt, Austin Powers, etc. My favorite version are Connery and Brosnan Bond.
That's why I want Henry Cavill as Brosnan-esque Bond. Slick, formal, classy Bond. Not the harsh and gritty Craig Bond. While Casino Royale is one of my favorite Bond movie ever, the next installments were far from great.
My Bond has to have ridiculous gadgets, cars and wardrobe. He doesn't do kungfu fighting (that's Bourne). He's not overly macho (that's xXx).
And I want him to always succeed in everything he do, not fumbling around getting his ass kicked and generally failing all the time like Craig Bond. I don't like amateur Bond. I want a super spy. Professional, stylish, quick witted and deadly. Basically a Jason Statham. But with hair.
Jamie Dornan
shareI’ve already passed on the role.
A good second choice would be Christian Bale.
Oscar Isaac
sharewell played sir... and yes, Bale would be good... but he's probably too big a star for it...
what about Matthew Goode? i think he could do it. he's not as feminine as Hiddleston, althoughhe probably is still a bit too pretty...
i do think they need to sort out the writing a bit... get rid of ALL the daddy/mommy issues that the craig bond has... get rid of the self loathing and self pitty... get rid of the soap opera nonesense of linking the villains to bonds past and childhood...
Bond is not about what is "inside"... leave that for the Sundance indie dramas
Yes, Matthew Goode would fit. He is pretty but that is where the acting part comes in. I think he can make an audience believe that there is a savage and lethal force just under the English gentleman veneer. Probably more so than Brosnan -- another "pretty" Bond.

LOL over here, Jack!

"I Am the FBI."
How about Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister from Game of Thrones)?
He looks like he just finished saying "Bond. James Bond." in this pic:
