shareThe Godfather (1972)
RoboCop (1987)
The Lion King (1994)
City of God (2002)
Thanks so much for your lists. I heard that Disney's the Lion King will be getting a remake following the success of The Jungle Book. Does it true?
shareYes, in a little less than two years: http://screenrant.com/lion-king-remake-release-date-summer-2019/
shareHow wonderful! Which one do you think is going to be better? Just guess (from your opinion).
shareI’m one of the few people who never saw The Lion King, but I’m a fan of Jon Favreau’s work so I think there’s good reason to be optimistic.
shareSame here, I became a fan of Jon Favreau’s works since The Iron Man and The Jungle Book and I'm really looking forward to his next project.
shareThe 1001 movies you must see before you die is the best list. All movies that were signficant for one reason or another. I'm not saying you'll love or even like every film on there but as far as essential viewing for cinephiles go it's pretty definitive.
shareFirst I a bit confused, yet I later know that The 1001 movies you must see before you die is the movie's name. lol. Thanks for opening my world.
shareOkay, I can't help jumping in here, but here are mine:
West Side Story
Lawrence of Arabia
The Lion King
The Sound of Music
Bonnie & Clyde
In the Heat of the Night
To Sir with Love
According to your list, the movie I used to watch was the Lion King and I can't wait for the remake version. By the way, thanks for your great list, I'll try those movies as you suggested. Now, which one should I begin with? lol.
shareYou're welcome, Barbelost. Thank you for the compliment. The Lion King was a good film. I had no idea that there was a re-make of this particular movie in the offing.
As for the movie to begin with, I recommend West Side Story, but it's to each their own.
You can also try this section out, which still has all of the imdb posts as well:

Thank yo so much. I'll try it out.
shareJust off the top of my head? The Truman Show. I don't know why, but I feel like it was ahead of its time when it came out and now it's probably more relevant than it has ever been. And it's just like a really good movie that makes you think.
Same here, I really love the Truman Show. I used to watch it since I studied in the college. There are a lot of details to think about and it's really a great movie. Do you have any other movies that similar to this one? Thanks so much for your kindly replies.
shareThere's a movie called EDTV that is basically The Truman Show but with Matthew McConaughey - but I wouldn't recommend it because it's a ripoff.
However, Pleasantville really reminds me of The Truman Show in a lot of ways and I definitely would recommend it.
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956 and 1978)
Village of the Damned (1960)
The Changeling (1980)
The Third Man (1949)
Strangers on a Train (1951)
Dial M for Murder (1954)
The Lost Weekend (1945)
The Birds (1963)
Thing (1982)
The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
there are many more
