What's your favorite movie?
?
shareTie between "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" and "Seven Samurai".
shareHard to choose...the messenger : the story of joan d'arc.
shareConan the Barbarian '82
shareConan! What is best in life?
To crush your enemies. See them driven before you. And to hear the lamentations of their women.
I literally own that t-shirt and wear it often lol
Its Conan flexxing out on the front with that quote on the back
Ive gotten some very positive responses!!!
I thought i was the only Conan fan but no...some guys still love that film...
I preach Conan every chance i get...im not lying i just rewatched parts of it last night for real
Fucking Conan forever bro!!
Definitely Arnold's best flick...and that IS saying something! Conan the destroyer still pisses me off to this day! Had Milius got the franchise...we'd be on like the twelfth movie, and John and Arnold would have oscars!
shareMan...that would have been so great
The character deserves so much better ...
Check out Robert E Howard's original stories sometime if you get a chance (theyre from the 1920's-1930's...hard to believe!)
Might be the finest short fiction ive ever read...
OH I've read everything Howard wrote in his unfortunately short life. Really progressed over the years...around 1930 they were less refined...no chapters, and then by 33-34 they were multi chapter deep stories with sidekicks...had he lived another decade I'm sure he would have been writing full Conan novels...damn shame! There is still talk of a King Conan movie with Arnold...we'll see.
shareWow! You are well-versed...nice !
Yeah...ive been dying for the Arnold King Conan...we shall see!!
Im finishing some Van Halen stuff in my garage...then im gonna rewatch Conan in my den
Put it on if you got it...be a blast to comment with good peeps!
Like to read! Bout to blow through a few pages right now, then crash...van Halen huh? DLR era VH? Good stuff there!
shareYeah D was best but Sammy was ok...DLR VH for me!

Gotcha
Probably Beauty and the Beast. Reservoir Dogs or The Usual Suspects when it comes to "grown up" movies.
shareI have a bunch that tend to fight for first place:
-Contact
-The Empire Strikes Back
-Fight Club
-Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Oh Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was soooo good. Think i would enjoy it more or less if I watched it again after having experienced love in my life? I hadn't the first time I watched it. Its def up there for me too.
shareI don't know about love, but my best time watching Eternal Sunshine was the third time. Certainly can't hurt for the subject matter to land a bit closer to home, though.
For me the movie is all about chasing a dream while actively avoiding it, being afraid of happiness. Self sabotage because some people (most people?) want the journey more than the destination.
Could never pick just one.
Misery
The Shawshank Redemption
The Breakfast Club
Salt
Girl, Interrupted
Peter Pan (1953)
Also, Source Code. Although i haven't watched that in a while and have actually forgotten a lot of it.
Never saw Girl...but a fine list!
share''Girl, Interrupted'' has a pretty great story and i'm pretty positive it is based on a true story. should definitely give it a watch!
shareIll look it up ... thank you
Watching my own personal favorite movie right now-Conan the Barbarian '82
Its so great they just killed a giant snake !!
Nice to meet ya
This is definitely one of two for fave movies for me.
So many great scenes and the actresses played them perfectly.
"When you're alone and life is making you lonely
You can always go downtown
When you've got worries, all the noise and the hurry
Seems to help, I know, downtown"
Can't think of one without the other.. the movie or the song.
That's a great song, Daisy! One of my favorite songs. Petula Clark was great, also.
