Movie chat app?

Does this exist yet? If not, can it? I know I'd personally be more active here if I could install an app over using a browser.

reply

There are still problems with this website and now we want an app? Are you serious?

reply

I think that'd be cool, but probably not likely in the near future. It'd be nice if Jim does make an app, but I'm not getting my hopes up too high. Mobile version on Safari works fine on my phone.

reply

6 years later. Did it happen?

reply

No.
Nothing happens here, things stay quiet and simple as they should.

You post a neon light, make a big noise you draw attention and the sailors and bikers start pouring in.

We don’t need that.

reply

I think we could use a good influx of chat in the movie forums.

I don't think an app would do that, but just surprised there isn't a simple app for the site.

reply

I’m doing my best to add to every movie forum once I’ve seen the movie, it’s a personal crusade for me, I love this joint, I want to support it.

But there is another site, it’s got all the bells and whistles, everything to draw you in like a moth to a lamp. But it’s overloaded with shitheads and no-brain zombies.

I like how we go low and slow here, no flash, just quiet discussions. We’re solid👍

reply

What's the other site?

I do enjoy the simplistic approach to this site which is what I prefer. I just don't like browsing discussions on my phone due to the format. An app could help with that.

reply

I only use my phone as well, we’re like the last two cowboys using six-guns! Let’s rob a stagecoach tonight LOL!

FilmBoards is a competitive site and gets a lot of traffic but it’s just trolling and nonsense. Lots of bums over there, our crowd has class.

reply

I went there once - I felt soiled.

reply

It’s a gas station toilet over there, I don’t even look anymore.

reply

Oh Ok I guess I've heard of it before, but never checked it out. Sounds like it's not worth it either.

reply

Don’t bother, better class of people here.

reply

i haven't check it in months.

reply

No need to go slumming. We only have a couple pricks here, MC is mostly very decent sorts.

reply

“I’m doing my best to add to every movie forum once I’ve seen the movie”

I do the same.

reply

Trying to boost up our joint👍

reply

I’m not a fan of apps that just point to a website, it’s a waste of space on my phone.

reply

Agreed.

reply

MovieChat is easily accessible online. We don't need any silly "apps."

reply

I feel the same way, best to keep the phone clean.

reply

Same here. I appreciate the simplicity of MovieChat and it being free of all the visual clutter of photos, videos, etc. Links to photos or videos are fine. I've never even tried to use my phone to access MC. I prefer to use my laptop for everything. My phone is for calls, texts, and the occasional photo. (If my phone ever gets hacked, lost, or stolen, the thieves and scammers won't find anything useful on it.)

What the fuck is this shit?

reply

A bot, most likely. Its other post is written in the same style, but it links to a different site. It's spam either way, regardless of whether it's a bot or a person copy and pasting from a script.

reply

These are the only types of posts I ever report to the mods, these shady spam posts that link to dodgy websites.

reply

An app isn’t a bad idea.
