Who are some of the worst mainstream actors and actresses that keep landing big roles despite their utter lack of talent?
The biggest culprit for me is Marion Cotillard. Somehow she keeps landing lead female roles across the biggest actors (Leo, Pitt), but she's very one dimensional and completely unattractive.
Dominic Purcell (from Prison Break) is also up there on my list. He's like a big brain dead gorilla that yells and screams over everything.
Mark Wahlberg, Casey Affleck, Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ashton Kutcher, Kaley Cuoco, Charlie Sheen, David Caruso, Jamie Kennedy, Julia Roberts, Cameron Diaz, Megan Fox, Miley Cyrus
Actually I didn't know it was her in Paper Towns because in the poster it looked like Emma Watson (albeit with funny brows)! I thought it was just the make up.
While watching the movie I constantly confused about the fact that it was entirely different person than what I expected lol. That is until I checked IMDb of course. Only then I know that it was Cara Delevingne.
I think she's great and I'm looking forward for her next roles, specifically in the movie Valerian.
if you've not seen "suicide squad," i highly recommend you check it out because it will quash any enthusiasm you may have about her future products & free you up to check out some worthwhile actors
I know it does. Like many of us, I was a regular visitor for many years. But since they decided to repay years of patronage with casual betrayal by axing our message boards, I will never again give them so much as a single click.
Talent? Muahahhahahha lol she is flatter than a cardboard she is a HORRIBLE actress.
And i don't think she beautiful either she look like a young buy I have seen girls in engineering school that are way more beautiful than her. She is below average and being a SJW doesn't mean she is smart
Easy. She was a small town girl, in Kentucky. She has a face that is so different from the mainstream girl. Additionally, she shows NO emotion in any of her movies and she is perfect for the whole woman empowerment agenda.
So Hollywood sees it like this. You take a gal from KY, a state that no one gives credit to, and make her a star. Basically, it is like saying that they had taken a girl in poverty (Not really. Her parents are wealthy, as they live in the Beverly Hills of KY, Indian Hills; I always pass through it on my way to Louisville) and bring her to the spotlight. The same trend that follows women being brought up to being equal in society.
In all her movies, it shows this. Catniss Everdeen, her role in Winter's Bone, Joy, etc. The media even ate her up when she told everyone that she was not paid as much as male actors in American Hustle.
Well, it is a type they knew she could play very well in the films. When Hollywood seems to go with who they pick as actors/actresses, they always have something about them that is kind of odd. Look up all the actors/actresses you know and find something odd about them. It could be something physical or something about their upbringing.
Ironically for Jennifer, there are tons of movies being shot in her city, Louisville and she has yet to star in one of them. These are mostly small independent films and the funny thing is, she is out in who knows where, making all these other movies. Now days, big budget films are filmed in Canada and Atlanta, GA.
I like Leo too. I will never forget What's Eating Gilbert Grape. I'd never seen him in anything before that so I was surprised to find out he wasn't handicapped. He's an amazing actor.
Do you remember the scene in Wolf of Wall Street where he drove home after the Quaalude binge? That was brilliant! Anyone who has gotten totally, filthy blitzed will recognize the truth of that scene. He's a great actor.
In The Aviator he was pulling a Daniel Day-Lewis, confusing overacting and acting quirky with actual acting. He was also very much miscast as Howard Hughes. Daniel Day-Lewis is another overrated actor, he's absolutely annoying.
I think Marion Cotillard struggles when she's not speaking French... in French she's a good actress... in English I've seen worse... Dominic Purcell is a good call though... I must really like Prison Break because I think both of the brothers are bad actors and I still like the show.
Haha yeah Wentworth is also a piss poor actor, it's just that starring next to Purcell makes him look like a god. I was in love with that show early on but it went downhill fast.
He's okay, as long as he stays in that cool Michael Scofield intellectual mode... Similar to how Arnold works for the Terminator just perfectly. However, once he started trying to act emotional over Sara, his lack of acting range was badly exposed
