What is this "Moxina"? Japanese / Taiwanese cult story or something?

I feel urge to understand what this is, looks extremely interesting and it seems to be somewhat popular or at least it pops in my internet again and again.

What I gathered from this it seems to be some sort mountain in Taiwan that is haunted but I don't understand is it legend or cult story in real life? Is it just a movie? How many movies are there? What's going on?

I think it was a haunted location where people commited suicide or so I heard.

Yes,it's a forest,i saw a documentary on national geographic about this.

Nice, this keeps popping up over and over again around me... much more than it should considering low views in all these videos, it almost feels like the forest / mountain is calling me.

I even saw the little girl in red in one my dreams, I wasn't very aware of it at the time but when I watch the video with the red girl my brain just knows it was her and I get really anxious even thought I don't even remember was it nightmare or not.

I might the next victim of this Moxina thing.

"In Taiwan has a well-known and popular urban legend about a Moxina demon, who disguises herself as a girl in a red dress.

The legend seems to be based on a video made by a group of tourists and screened on television in 1998 that shows a girl in a red dress following the group as they walk down a mountain trail.

No one in the team knew or saw the girl and is believed to be Moxina, a mountain demon known to abduct humans, usually children and the elderly."

Jesus, I assume the 15 second clip about girl in red was the 1998 clip that started this all. All the material made after that, all those interviews and movies are based on it are made because of that clip. Jesus and it usually abducts children, why in the heck I had to get my 8 year old brother involved. He doesn't stand a chance.
