Other sites similar to this ?

I registered on a few, just checked them out again, its been awhile. Imo, this one is the best. Its no imdb before they destroyed it. Its home i guess . I checked out tmdb, nobody posts on the actual movies. The free forums what ever its called, gives me a headache!

It's like a private club on that site😒

I'm also member on square-enix forums and gamefaqs.

I came here right after imdb boards closed. I've been to the other boards that I see sometimes mentonied here. This site works for me perfectly.

EDIT: oops, I meant to say that "I've NEVER been to the other boards that I see sometimes mentonied here."

This is the best IMDb alternative.

I only registered on one, which was highly recommended by a poster I respected from my main board on IMDb. I like it, but it's too limited for me.

Next tried tMDb, and felt the same way as you. Then I found MC and have been here ever since. It's the best one, IMO.

IMDb2 (the free forums one) isn't nearly as bad as I'd thought. In fact, it's not bad at all. I only finally checked it out a week or two ago. No doubt it's great for those who frequented IMDb's General boards, so they could reunite, but I never did, so really don't care about that. I'm mostly interested in reading and posting on the individual boards to discuss shows and films, and for me IMDb2 falls flat in that area.

Haven't found any others that are similar to MC. I guess tMDb comes closest.

I joined several upon learning that IMDB would be closing down after a scant 2 weeks notice. Of them all though, I find myself mostly at this site, Previously TV, and IMDB2. While I don’t like that IMDB2 lacks individual subforums for movies and most of the shows, there are some good discussions going on over there.

Of all the sites, I actually think that The Movie DB is the best as far as features go. But as others have mentioned, there’s hardly any activity there, so the features are a moot selling point.

The admin at ImdbArchive is a cool, reasonable guy, so that place is my choice. IMDB2 is very heavy on the moderation, and they'll delete your posts if you don't kiss their ass. Would be a lot better if they'd relax a little...

I have a movie database forum site, TrashEpics.com, but it's not quite as active as these places. It's mostly horror and b-movie talk, but anything is welcome. Check out this shameless imdb rip-off: http://TrashEpics.com/tedb/

I have registered at several of them. They all have some good things about them. But they ALL lack one thing. Enough people posting.
