Anyone else watching The Ten Commandments

On this Easter weekend?

reply

It's a great movie but I've already seen it a few times, so probably no unless nothing better is available.

reply

Definitely a great movie but when it's on regular channel with commercials it's long

reply

It's a tradition. I have the DVD, however....
No commercials and I can go to bed at a reasonable hour.

reply

How does it look on DVD?Is the movie pretty clear? Any bonuses?

reply

The DVD looks great.
Yes, there are a few bonuses on mine. It has a commentary, a newsreel of the premier in New York, and the theatrical trailer and the making of the trailer.....
Making of the trailer? Go figure!

reply

My husband got it for me a few years ago when I complained about falling asleep and missing so much of it.
I love the movie! It's those long blocks of commercials I end up falling asleep through. LOL!
This movie is NOT 4plus hours long...... not if you watch it on DVD.

reply

I'll definitely buy it if it has all those bonuses๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

"It's a tradition"

It is a tradition for my daughter and myself every Passover.

reply

If there's anything that spells Easter Sunday for me, it's Handel's Messiah !

reply

I like this.... and Jesus Christ Superstar!

reply

That's good music !

reply

Probably.

Watched it for the first time tonight on ABC. Powerful stuff. No wonder it's famous.

reply

Dad loves that movie and like always, I have no idea what is going on. I need to stick to simpleminded movies.

reply

Yes, DVR'd it last night and watched it while FF'd through all of the commercials and slower parts.

I like the early parts of the film when Heston is the prince and displays a lot of wisdom. After he sees the burning bush he just becomes weird and it always just babbling these strange utterances.
