A New Tactic re the Trending Bar???
Seriously!!! Using the trending Bar in a way it wasn't intended!!! I thought it would've have been caught wayyy before now.

Its always the same on every board. They said they don't have a place to talk, but it's every where. How many places doese one need to troll?

I'll give it till Jim gets the moderators as it seems it will be soon. But if It continues I guess my days on boards like this are done. I didn't want to face it, but it's to wide spead and no one can start over without going back to bad habits.

shareYeah, I'm struggling myself. It's not nice coming on here and being faced with "the troll problem" every day. Horrible and depressing to see the trending section filled with garbage like that too.
I know how we feel is exactly what the trolls want, but I can't help it. Jim has to do something about them soon, or this site will die out. Already several quality posters from the beginning are missing the last days.
I know what you mean Mahrez, I haven't seen a couple of my friends around for at least 2 days. I'm hoping they just got hung up doing other things at home or work. But I'm about to step out for a couple weeks myself if this keeps up. It's just no fun here when you got a troll hanging on your leg everywhere you go. I don't want to put too many on ignore because I lose other convos with friends if we're all on the same thread or branch.
I prefer to wait until the ignore button ONLY ignores the troll and not the whole branch if you're chatting with someone else on it too.
I agree Strannger, no fun coming to this battle every day. Think I just might take a little vay-cay and relax for a couple weeks. Kick back and enjoy some films without the pitter patter of little troll feet. 😉

sharePlus that, we all worked hard at building this site up with good folks and it would seem a shame to walk out on it. Hopefully things will get better real soon. I have faith in Jim and I know he's been terribly busy with this site, it's just so wrong for him to have to stop progress on building it because he has to stop and babysit a bunch of trolls. ðŸ˜

No kidding. It's like playing Whack-A-Mole, because they're determined to find any and all means to disrupt and destroy this site, and/or overtake it. Either will do in their destructive little pointy heads.
Jim should be free to spend whatever time he has on building this site, and we should be free to do the same by posting on whatever boards we enjoy or have something to add to after seeing them on Trending, thereby adding to the success of it.
Okay, I'm over and out for now. Will take a look here sometime tomorrow and see if anything's improved.

On the one hand, the increased troll activity is a good sign that this site is growing. Like fleas and rats drawn to a prospering settlement. On the other hand it's unfortunate though, because as you said this will deter people looking for a good website to post on. It's a shame that some people need to get their kicks by trying to ruin things for everyone else.

No that's not a good solution. They will keep on creating new ids and easily bypass ip filters. For a long term solution what i propose is best. Those boards will remain hidden even if people start threads and posts on them

Yeah, but it's easy to know who the trolls are at least...I mean, their names are wide open in the threads so we obviously know who's creating these threads and bringing them to the trending bar. They're sitting ducks in there.

I read the book first and I guess that's what killed it for me at the time. But I think Aaliyah played the role in a sensual way, very seductive and dangerous.
I always been a fan of Marguerite Moreau so her character's journey really got to me and I was disappointed she had to turn. But it was for the best.
Also dazed I don't know if it's just it being the weekend or if it's a good sign but it seems dead tonight.

A security guard for a dynamite factory. Its mostly just sitting in a car and keeping an eye on the place. Making the rounds every hour. Not the most exciting. What about you?

Hey Dazed 😊 I'm still here now and then but mostly just checking on any notifications. I'm sure I'll be back in full force soon though so no worries there.
Unfortunately, for my security job, I didn't stick with it too long. Got tired of the same old graveyard shift in the lumber yard, all by myself with just my car, my gun and a phone, and freezing half to death in my car night after night. Worked a few night shifts in the ER, that was a bit more exciting at least. But, alas, I wasn't interested enough in the job to continue the long, grueling, graveyard shifts at the lumber yard on the bad side of town, so I quit after awhile. The only upside I had at the lumber yard was a dozen or so cats kept me company and followed me around on my hourly rounds...and helped me eat my food...lol. 😉
As for now...I am retired since 08. I think I'd rather be back at the lumber yard...lol.

It is interesting, and sad, they can't keep up their pretenses for long. As far as I can tell, the pretenses aren't satisfying to them, and the other behavior is.
Just saw this too. All of the porn movies bumped, but it was all from the same troll with the nick "Troll". These things could be easily sorted with a mod spotting this so clear and obvious trollish behaviour with a warning and then a ban.
With the trending bar messed up they are getting annoying again, even if it has looked a lot better after the ignore button came.
