I know a guy who signed up but can't post here

He says when he tries to post he is told he needs to verify with e-mail first. Anybody else have this problem?

No. I signed up before they even asked for an email.

There are also facebook & twitter links at the bottom of the board, and jim runs both of those personally so he would probably see a help request on fb or twitter.

Create another account. He will get a verification email. Click on the link. His account will be confirmed.

Tell him to check his email with which he registered

When he signed up it didn't ask him for e-mail, but when he posts it asks for verification via e-mail. When I signed up it didn't ask for e-mail and let me post immediately.
