For those who got their News from IMDb

Check out Deadline.com for industry news. It's updated more often than IMDb, gives stats on the articles, and you don't have to register on Facebook to comment on the articles. Hollywood Reporter also has a good site.

Deadline is great, especially for Box Office. They really go into detail with their figures and really know their stuff.

And another suggestion would be Collider.com

Youtube page:

They do tend to lean more towards the mainstream and lots of superhero/blockbuster films, but they do get to the major news items in Hollywood, and I like how they have a video show every day going over the day's news. It may not be for everyone, as it will depend on how much you like the personalities there discussing the films.

I've never heard of Deadline.com before. Thanks for sharing it.
I love how I discover new movies and sites from MovieChat. Just amazing :)

I agree. Although IMDb aimed to be a one stop shop, I'm coming to realize that there a lot of individual sites that offer far more if there is only one thing your looking for.

When I think "news", I think politics.

When I think "gossip", I think movie/tv related.

I think I am done with both. I want to stay neutral.

Well, Deadline is more industry specific. Gossip was not what I was looking for with the IMDb headlines. There are already tons of sites that focus more on the personal lives of celebrities.

I have noticed a lot more legitimate news sites using TMZ as a source nowadays. I guess it's just the nature of things now. We have to take in the good with the bad.
