Activity in other sections would be nice, seems only the topics in this section get attention. I remember horror board was very active during the imdb days. But mos of them are on Trash Epics now.
shareYou could definitely play a role by starting a thread there, making a thread on general discussion, and posting a URL of that section. It may allow members to go from here to there at a click of a link.

What you are typing is an average mistake people make when typing. They forget that typing is typing, writing is writing, hearing is hearing, and seeing is seeing. It is a problem in conveying ones thoughts, while typing; however, it is not so severe that it is deemed a disability. It is comparative to mixing your left with your right or other signs of near, but NOT dyslexia.

I've been thinking these things myself whenever I encounter this one.
Sometimes I get the feeling that he's just messing with people. Other times I have to wonder if he's just a bit slow.
Either way..... I hope he doesn't drive people away.
I doubt he drives anyone away. What will end up happening is that he will piss off the wrong person and that person will embarrass the hell out of his pathetic ass worse than what I did.
I'm through being kind to him. He can stay miserable with his only claim of greatest achievement is having 100 replies in a message board thread. All while he lives with his patents supporting him.

The majority of us here do that, whenever they think of a film or show they liked (or, I guess, hated), they look them up and comment.
Initially General Discussion was the most frequently used board on the site, which is understandabl given IMDb's sudden and drastic actions. Since then, most of us who originally congregated here have wandered off to post on various individual boards, and more often than not new posters go directly to whichever board(s) they're most interested in, entirely bypassing General Discussion.
But what he means is, it is obviously not working.

IMDb was once a new site, and I doubt it had more traffic than this one does when it was only a few months old.
Are you making threads on general discussion with the title of the movie/show and putting a link in the body of said thread and then following up with a "Discussion on message boards"?
shareThing is I'm not really interested in alll these different sections. On imdb I visited mostly the horror section and rarely other places. Most regulars from the old are either on TE or another site or god forbid some stupid fb group. Yeah I really dislike fb as it destroys decent boards and is awful for decent discussions.

that's what I do too. I have actually had a few good conversations on individual boards.
I've had quite a few good conversations that way too. Many of them with people I've never seen participating on this General board.

Oh, so if I ignored you, I could still be getting emails from you posting. Well then I would think someone would see it on the threads and probably report them for spamming. Now, if it were a private message, it would be a whole another matter.
