shareMy pleasure! The arrogance of IMDB made me so grrrrrr!!! SO ANGRY!!! How dare they delete and kill the boards like that. Hopefully this one will grow and grow and the owner doesnt sell out :o
shareSadly that's the way it goes. A site grows big, and big greedy companies become interested in it, the owner sells it for big $$$$$, and the new owners mutilate it because they put profit above what the users want. If this site gets big enough, it'll go that way too. Then we'll just start another one and begin the cycle over again.
Reminds me of that South Park episode about Walmart. lol
Yeah, it's sad. Especially when Col Needham himself said that he liked to chat online about movies. (that was before he became a corporate whore)
This is what he used to say:
"Growing up, we went to the cinema quite a lot. But it wasn't until I got online that I started being able to discuss films with other people."
But now suddenly, he doesn't think it's important for other people to be able to discuss films?
