Are you posting on your favorite tv show message board?

If you aren't,why?

I checked some of my Favorites, and it seems as if the (understandable) lag in this new site's cloning of each specific board *might* explain some former board member's reluctance to jump aboard.

Just general calls out into the darkness...

I've been going around to some of my faves and it's been pretty damn dead. I've posted in the hopes that some activity would spurn more, but so far no so much...especially when compared to the Gen. boards.

I don't really know why, I guess everyone is just inspecting, getting acquainted, waiting on the site to develop more. Who knows, after IMDb shut down people kind of just scattered to the wind and are recollecting. May take some time to get the sort of dispersal of flurried activity those boards had.

I hope people start posting around more soon though to inject more life into it other than here. We'll see, patience is required for a site so new.

Yes. I posted on Longmire and The Expanse and Person of Interest recently so I hope I get others to join in. It's not as much fun talking to yourself.

reply

haha , true that.Wait , I'm not too sure about that :)

Yeah I put in a post for the Odd Couple (the Randall-Klugman classic, not the zillion ripoffs). Nothing terribly insightful but just something to get the ball rolling.

That's how she likes it.

@DreamersxDisease

It is slow. I think a large portion of them went over to IMDBv2 because that link was shared a long time ago. MovieChat was only up and running not more than six days ago.

I would prefer it if they came over here since this place has their favorite threads archived (not all, but a substantial amount). Someone holler for them to come over here. The IMDB base seems very fractured right now.

There is also TMDb.org but I don't see that place picking up. Seems really dead.

@AtomicReturns

I think most places are going to seem a bit dead. I haven't really checked that IMDBv2 out or whatever it is...I glanced, but the layout kind of hurt my eyes, to be honest, haha. It's a shame we're all so dispersed, but what did we expect? Everyone is clamoring to get back what they lost.

I think it's all just a matter of time. As sites get better and communities develop it could go back to being somewhat of what we had, maybe, just each in our own clusters. Oh well, for the time being, I'm glad to just have something.

To be honest, I took such offense at people from Imdb2 or whatever it's called posting openly here, in this HUGE effort's first day, saying they prefer it (after 12 hours? 6 hours?)... I'll stay here. I dislike the dated look of the other sites, too.

A *tremendous* amount of work has gone into replicating the old place that dumped us all, in an effort to take away the sting. I for one am grateful for it.

(I posted on a t.v. show board and will continue to.)
