I feel the same way, BTW, had IMDb board withdrawals and was so happy to find MovieChat.
I was one of the "originals" here. Throughout the months I've looked at other sites but none come even remotely close to this site. It's the most aesthetically pleasing, too. It was the first alternative site I've found and it looks like I'm staying.

shareI felt like making a post like this too. This site is great, with all the general topics plus the individual movie boards. Can't ask for more than that! I only just got here not that long ago but I've been coming online almost every day..that's a pretty good sign.
Anyways, thanks for everyone being so welcoming as well. :)
This site has somehow managed to get of MOST of the idiots that were on IMDb. It's almost as if we know what it's like to lose message boards and know we're lucky to have an alternative and are now being more courteous to people.

shareI think everybody went to whatever they could find. Over time people will go to whatever they like best.
To begin there might have been 10 or however many there are. Eventually that number will decrease.
As time goes by people will make their choice .
It's like Ketchup. There are tons of different ketchup's out there but everybody has their favorite.
I think eventually it will be split between only a few.
I've been looking around and most of the other sites seem very dead.
