She's no Whitney but I thought she did a decent job. Sounded very heartfelt. RIP Whitney.
"What happens to a dream deferred?"
Yes I thought she did a very nice job, and I'm sure it was extremely last minute.
share She seemed so sincere.
Rest in Peace Johnny Otis, Etta James, a Rhythm & Blues legend & a true artist you will be missed.
I thought she did ok, although I wish she would have sung "Greatest Love of All". That's the song I'll always associate with Whitney, and the lyrics would have been even more appropriate...
Laissez les bons temps rouler!
My God, Kurl,
She did that under extreme pressure in the wake of an iconic artist like Houston with all her peers and millions of us watching..with tears in her eyes....AND with only a day (not even) to rehearse and plan it........and then nailed it!
.....nobody will ever be Whitney Houston......on the other hand, no one will ever be Jennifer either....unique, talented, wonderful, gifted.......both....
"Ev'ryone deserves the chance to fly!"
She did not nail it! She shouldn't have sung it. Plenty of songs to choose that would have been a much better fit for her.
