Hopeless film but excellent 3D. Financed by the Mafia (one of the producers went to jail as a result of some behind the scenes chicanery), nothing to do with Andy Warhol and allegedly a comedy.
The best 3D scenes were shot by Robert Bernier, inventor of SpaceVision. Unfortunately Paul Morrissey, the director, thought he was taking too long setting up shots and sacked him. The difference is noticeable apparently but TBH I thought the 3D was consistently good throughout.
Its 3D reputation took a nosedive after a TV screening using the vile ColorCode anaglyph system.
Unfortunately the movie requires a fair bit of work as regards restoration and the owners aren't too keen on paying for it. Also the director doesn't think any of his shots need correcting so don't hold your breath waiting for a 3D Blu-ray.
