Why was the Fox network a success and the WB and UPN failures? Did Fox do anything particular better or correctly that UPN and the WB did wrong. Was it just timing, was it luck?

I miss UPN, UPN had the african american sitcoms, WB I miss that channel Steve Harvey show was on that channel I think that is a network that should have been kept. I forgot what else was on WB. Back in the 90s FOX used to have a lot of great shows The Simpsons is there biggest show, Living Single was there, Martin, 21 hope street, New York Undercover, and others.

Having the NFL, Super Bowl, MLB, World Series, and even NASCAR as lead ins or just to advertise their shows during definitely helped. Sports is what kept FOX from disappearing.
