hmmm I'd have to say that their reruns are a whole lot better than anything even PBS introduces.

Their latest "Masterpiece" series has been horrid - and their daytime cartoons keep getting worse and worse than ever.

I did see an episode of "Austin City Limits" - and that was not too bad because Roseanne Cash managed to save the show with her great talent and presence.

I agree that the kids shows are getting really bad---the cartoon animation is super tacky! I miss the days of "Lamb Chop's Play-a-long"!

Anyway, to answer the question, I love the british sitcoms that play on PBS! But, as far as "original" programing, I'd have to say "American Masters" and "Masterpiece Mystery." Those are 2 of the classiest shows on TV!

Crushing on 1970s-80s Lily Tomlin. That smile! That figure! That voice! I'm in-love!

My top three are Antiques Roadshow, History Detectives and a local show (St. Louis) called Donnybrook. Add to those three PBS Newshour and Washington Week in Review and PBS is easily my favorite network.

American Experience and Frontline are great. Some of the Ken Burns specials are beyond great.

Globetrekker is sometimes great. Other travel shows I like include Equitrekking, Passport to Adventure, Rick Steves and Rudy Maxa. I have mixed feelngs about Burt Wolf (sometimes interesting but he tries to be too cute).

Charlie Rose and Tavis Smiley range from good to boring as hell depending on who they have on.

The only fictional show I'm currently hooked on is Doc Martin.

I love PBS.
