the cancelling of tv shows

As I like to watch TV series from the beginning, I have found that all the series I have enjoyed and got into have been cancelled. so why get us interested when the show does have a concluding end. there would be may annoyed readers if they read three quarters of a book only to find there was no ending. why then should I invest my time enjoying a series and it ends with so many cliff hangers and no explanation. shows I have watched this year. Jake 2.0, Kyle XY, invisible man, fire fly, moonlight - vampire one, mutant x, to name but a few.

I know there has been a shortage of writers with good screenplay writing ability, but being a writer my myself. I see no problem with these shows. I actually can't stand "The Dexter show".

Good question, jazzmax!

A couple of years ago, I said,
like you're paying too much for TV fees,
then why not watch something so that the money doesn't go to waste,
just your time

Right, and you guessed it.
I thought that only three series were worth the time
to watch and even though they kept juggling around the air time schedules,
I had to find out when they were on next,
and then they disappeared

All of those really bad series were still on the air,
but not the three you thought would last,
and then they were suddenly yanked without resolve

Can't blame ya for not being able to stand really bad trash TV,
but what else is left outside of classic reruns

Expect a network to keep a low rated show on?

Firefly has an ending, it's called Serenity and it's a movie.

Netflix can be a great source of series that have already ended. You can look into a promising series and see if it's had a proper ending. Sometimes it bothers me but sometimes it doesn't. Jericho stuck around for a wrap up but it wasn't satisfying to me.

Oh, and Veronica Mars' movie just came out, you can watch that series knowing it has an ending.. or does it?

That is a good question.

When I was living in the dorm on base I spent about 70 something bucks a month with COX cable and the shows I wanted to watch they got cancelled or no longer on air. Like for one The Walking Dead I just recently got into the show and then as soon as I got cable the show ended. I like to watch TV One its in the higher channels this one show I like to watch I thought it was still going but find out I think it got cancelled. The only thing on TV that seem to last are reality shows and there is no way I'm giong to devote my time to reality TV.

When the "ending" comes a decade after the fact, and on a different medium, it's not that satisfying IMO.
