What.makes.an.artist.an.artist?

It makes me angry when people say they are not. In my opinion they are the very best of all. They have cool pictures, different styles and their work serves a purpose. Tony Moore who created the walking dead is amazing. Google some of his work, anyone who says his not an artist is full of *beep*
Art snobs who work at galleries and stuff often only accept their form of art and nothing else, it's stupid. It's like street art, graffiti and animation, all great forms of art which many don't even recognize as art. Then you go to an art gallery and look at a sculpture of some object... Like its not even anything and people say its art simply because it's got some famous artists name on it and now it seeks for millions... If that same piece of art has an unknown artists name, the same people will think its crap... Guaranteed.

I dream to be a comic book artist one day and I'm working hard, trying to study anatomy, environmental and 3 dimensional drawing... Comic books are art.

Are you not aware that every picture, every sculpture every photo tells a story? Therefore all artists are storytellers.....Intellectually they are far superior in most respects too.

kirkman created the walking dead, moore was the artist on the first 6 issues and some cover work afterward

Of course they are real artists. Anyone who says otherwise is confused.
