Leftists used to say immigrants "enriched" our society

So uh... how come the UK has so many Muslim "refugees" and immigrants in it..

But it's so fucking poor?

Poor is the opposite of rich, for the slow-witted of you out there who are the 49 million sad souls who voted Biden in 2020.

The second one is particularly bad, UK relying on handouts from an American singer who just happened to be passing through, like we're in the middle of WWII or something. LOL

Where do you buy gas for your leafblower?

What is it with those things ? I think they're straight up stupid but so many people love them.

Rakes all day, every day.

reply

If you have a wall, ditch or fence that you could first blow leaves into and then rake them up, you're doing it wrong.

People that try to blow leaves into a circle or something in an open area are definitely stupid though.

reply

That's not what leftists said, it's a strawman of what the right claims lefties say.
Look wherever in the world you want, facts show the opposite literally everywhere.
Here are just 3 examples.

In Germany as early as the late 1950s, basically right after the war, the right wingers launched a "Gastarbeiterprogramm" (translated means "guest workers program") that made contracts with Turkey, Tunisia and other countries like that to import cheap labor and they kept going with that until the early 70s when voters had enough, the left won an election and terminated the program in 1973. To this day the aftermath of that program means a massive amount of Muslims, mostly children of Turkish parents born in Germany are by now 3rd generation German citizens.
Since the 80s Germany has had continuously right wingers in government (including the former left that has moved to the right in the 2000s) and they have had 1.5 million "legal" immigrants from eastern Europe per year plus what they call "family reunion" where people from Turkey who live in Germany are given the option to move their whole family to Germany as a late follow up from the "Gastarbeiterprogramm".

In Italy, when the far right under Meloni won the elections in 2022, during her first 100 days in office the amount of African refugees arriving in Italy was 8 times higher than under the previous government.

In the US Obama deported more illegal immigrants during either of his two terms than Bush before him and Trump after him.

I said explain to me why UK is so poor, not

"Give me a list of 2012-ass talking points that are longer than Michael Moore's KFC receipt"

reply

Your first question was

So uh... how come the UK has so many Muslim "refugees" and immigrants in it..

and that's what I answered first, together with correcting a strawman you made up in the title, if you don't like my answer that doesn't mean you didn't ask.
The fact that you imagine that not being separate questions, because you actually believe your strawman argument would be true, has nothing to do with the fact that it is independent questions with separate answers.

Now let's see about the second question, where I thought there's no need answering that, as it should be common knowledge.
You REALLY don't know why the UK is so poor?
How about the obvious?

https://www.politicalcompass.org/uk2024

The Toris are the furthest to the right of all parties in the UK and Labour is a right-authoritarian party as well, just not as far as the Toris, both taking money from the middle class and giving it to the richest of the rich while alternating in government just so the population imagines there would be a difference between right-authoritarians and other right-authoritarians while both parties work hand in hand on their shared goal of further enriching the already rich.
That's why.

Your first question was

No that was part of the question. The full question was "so why aren't we all magically and insanely rich yet"

You're refusing to answer the question, and now pretending it was about something else.

Answer the question, why isn't every single car in the UK a gold-plated Rolls Royce?

reply

The answer is literally in the last 5 lines (depending on your screen width) right above your last post claiming I didn't answer it.
If you ignore it or want to deny it being true, that doesn't mean it isn't there.

reply

That line you quoted wasn't a "question". Anyone who starts off something from false pretenses is going to continue lying so why should I read through your boring ass post

Leftists are insane, superstitious overgrown children who believe that Muslims are magic beans, and if you bring them into your country it somehow "makes things good" and they shit their pants and talk about absolutely anything else when confronted about this.

reply

Well, when someone reverts to this kind of language while all they have is strawmen arguments and empty claims without evidence, all I have left to say is, make yourself at home on my ignore list among the other hardcore advice resistant fools.

reply

"list longer than Michael Moore's KFC receipt"

LOL

He likes gravey on his gravey

Diversity is our strength is a lie.

reply

In nature, a species that doesn't evolve (diversify) dies out.

reply

Nice job ignoring the link.

reply

Truly dumb person: You don't even know what a metaphor is!

reply

"A species"

By using these terms, you're trying to make yourself sound like Charles Darwin ,but you're not a scientist, youre just a lunatic.

Why are you only interested in making the West "diversify" and not anyone else? Why aren't you protesting the lack of diversity in like... Saudi Arabia or whatever?

Is it because you're batshit insane, "Thaidork"? is that it?

Is your insanity genetic or caused through a series of events?

how come Uk is so poor?

Compared to what? The United Kingdom is a wealthy country, with a strong economy and a high average household net wealth. In 2024, the UK's GDP is expected to be $3.588 trillion nominal and $4.282 trillion PPP, ranking it 6th and 10th in the world, respectively. In 2024, the UK's GDP per capita is expected to be $52,423 nominal and $62,574 PPP. The average UK household net wealth is estimated at $524,422, which is higher than the OECD average of $323,960.

The economy of the United Kingdom is a highly developed social market economy. It is the sixth-largest national economy in the world measured by nominal gross domestic product (GDP), tenth-largest by purchasing power parity (PPP), and twentieth by nominal GDP per capita, constituting 3.1% of nominal world GDP.The United Kingdom constituted 2.17% of world GDP by purchasing power parity (PPP) in 2024 estimates.

reply

Then why can't they afford toothpaste?

reply

Because GDP is an average over all people and says nothing about how that average is spread between the people.

https://media.equality-trust.out.re/uploads/2024/07/wealthcomponentsnew-1536x778.png

The bottom 30% of the population barely register on the wealth scale, even up to the bottom 60% people are struggling to make ends meet, only the fact that the top 1% lives in insane wealth gives the average and that just doesn't put money into the pockets of the people at the bottom.

reply

I agree; wealth is not distributed equally in the UK (and indeed around the world generally.)

reply

Fun fact from Germany.
The Germans have statistics on several different scales, where in the country people make more or less money, one comparing the 15 states, one comparing smaller regions, one comparing the cities and so on.
In these statistics there was always the city of Heilbronn that stood out to have the highest incomes, until someone on social media pointed out, that's not the city with the highest incomes, that's where Dieter Schwarz lives and pays taxes, who owns 2 supermarket chains and is considered the richest man in Germany, where his income alone raises the average of the city of Heilbronn to the top of the country.
After that the statistics got adjusted to eliminate these obvious flaws, but the principle is still present in many other statistics.
