"Jordan Peterson is a good role model for young men." Agree or disagree?

He often offers up some common sense fatherly advice, but it's only to appeal to young males who are lacking direction and therefore vulnerable to alt right recruiting tactics. It's all done in a very cynical, targeted way.

I know he's against the pronoun movement, radical feminists, and social justice warriors. But I never made a commitment to follow and critique him properly.

What else is he known for? Specifically by his supporters, and others who likely won't make up exaggerated trash about him?

Yes and no. His advice on getting your act together and working hard is good if you want to get a job and make a reasonable amount of money. And when he hits back at all of the Woke nonsense that is also good.

But along with the good things he says there are the bad things he says. Climate change ? It won't be a problem, or if it is we can deal with it. Unregulated Capitalism ? It's great man ! Over-population ? There's no such thing. In fact we are facing the horror of de-population !

And he presents himself as an expert on everything when he isn't. He says things that are flat out nonsense and people who don't know any better take him seriously.

Even his advice is not as good as it could be. That's because it is basically advice for the elite students that he has been teaching. Get your act together. Devise a plan and a strategy to succeed. And so on. That's fine for the students at Harvard but what use is it to some dumb bastard on the street ? Peterson has got nothing for them.

The best role models for young men are their fathers.
