A befuddled President Biden casually maligned the Irish while botching his wife’s family history during a gaffe-filled appearance in Delaware on Friday.

“I may be Irish, but I’m not stupid,” Biden inexplicably said as he greeted 102-year-old World War II veteran Ray Firmani during a town hall on veterans’ benefits in New Castle, Del.

“I married Dominic Giacoppa’s daughter,” Biden continued. “So, you know, I got a little Italian in me now, you know?”

“Hate crime,” self-described Irish Catholic reporter Mary Margaret Olohan posted, with a video clip of the offending moment.

“Just casual old school anti-Irish stereotyping,” Washington Examiner reporter Jerry Dunleavy wrote.

Who cares? I can't say I ever really supported him: As I've told you repeatedly, I was voting against Trump...I would have voted for a turnip if that was the only other option!

Why would you vote for a turnip with dementia? That makes no sense. If things were better than 2 years ago, then I wouldn't have an argument. Basically you voted for Tyranny and inflation and more wars. That Ukraine war is not going to end anytime soon. How much of your taxes are you willing to give to that failed venture? The border is a complete disaster and its a humanitarian crisis. But as usual no democrats care about that. The FBI used to Twitter to suppress information but as usual no democrats care about that. I assume you are ok with bailing out student loans with your taxes? The only thing that matters to dems is TDS. They have to get Trump. Joe cant complete a sentence and yet all the dems dont say a word.

Our best bet at this point is to let Trump take over and save America from the current dementia patient.

You can still register to vote though.

I AM registered to vote, have been since '88(I missed being able to vote in '84 by three weeks,) we just don't have party registration in Vermont...Also, primaries are open, meaning you select which party's ballot you wish upon entering the polling place-I plan to select the Republican ballot and vote for Trump in the '24 primary because I know he doesn't have a chance in the general!

Despicable!

Some people are perhaps not aware of just how much hatred some have had for the Irish throughout history.

They were regularly depicted as apes and considered more similar to Black people than White people.

This isn't the case any more with Irish people now being fully embraced as White but you can't be implying that a whole nationality of people are dumb, even if you yourself are part of that group and are only joking.

Imagine Obama saying "I may be Black, but I'm not stupid."

Just an awful thing to say and from someone who I imagine purports to be wholly against hatred.
