Thoughts and prayers for man arrested for Jan 6 riot when his Frat Bro tips off the FBI
Let's offer up our thoughts and prayers for Levi Roy Gable of Oklahoma, who has been arrested last week for his involvement in the January 6 Republican Insurrection when one of his Fraternity Brothers ratted him out to the FBI. Gable, 36, was arrested in Tulsa Thursday and charged with four misdemeanor counts of illegally entering the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and engaging in disruptive conduct.
According to an FBI affidavit, Gable posted about his involvement with the riot on Facebook just a few days after January 6, which caught the attention of his Frat Bro of 15 years. His postings included a series of videos taken inside the White House on that day.
“I was among the first people to make our way into the US Capitol Building,” Gable said in one post, per the FBI. “Those in the building first were there in protest of Vice President Mike Pence’s statement that he would not stand with the American people and challenge the results of 2020’s stolen presidential election. The proof is undeniable for anyone who takes an objective look at the accusations of election fraud, provided you are looking somewhere other than the fake news and social media.”
The FBI said it obtained multiple surveillance videos that appeared to show Gable inside the building. They accuse Gable of deleting his own Facebook videos taken from inside the building, once he knew a Frat Bro tipped off the Feds.
At first, Gable denied ever going into the White House. He told FBI agents he went to the capitol on January 5, and then hung around to watch the protests on Janaury 6. Gable was released from custody after agreeing to pay $10,000 should he miss any future court appearances.
