June 2021: Republican Governor Abbott declares Texas 'The Sanctuary State for the 2nd Amendment'

Less than a year ago, Texas Republican Gregory Abbott rubber-stamped approval of seven measures in the Lone Star State, vowing that Texas would be the leader in defending the 2nd Amendment.

He declared that Texas would be known as 'The Sanctuary State for the Second Amendment' making it legal for anyone 21 or older to carry a handgun in public without a license, but common sense gun control measures – such as universal background checks; assault weapon bans; and red flag laws, which allow police to temporarily confiscate firearms from people who present a clear danger to themselves or their community – are wholly unconstitutional. Yup, wholly unconstitutional.

Look how great that worked out for the elementary school this week.

19 innocent people laid down their lives so he could own a gun even though he was a psychopath. What a great state Texas is !

What should they have done differently? Seriously, you've got all sorts of criticism, what's your solution? There is no law in ANY state that would've prevented this shooting.

If you have to ask "What should they have done differently ?" then you are a big part of the problem. A very big part. Remember - 19 human beings laid down their lives just so you can ask "What should they have done differently ?".

That is no answer, you're evading the question. Because you have no answer. Please outline what legislation or police procedure that could be in place that would've prevented THIS shooting.

I'm not asking you for 'my' solution or 'the' solution. I'm asking for yours. Only you can provide that. You've provided plenty of criticism. Let's hear YOUR solution. Stop evading, or just say you don't have one.

I'm well aware of what you asked. You keep repeating yourself wanting to know 'my solution' to the problem. Again, I'm not here to do your homework for you to learn nor am I here to educate you - you're on your own. And once again, if you keep asking for 'my solution' to the problem (or anyone else's solution) YOU are a major part of the problem.
