I'm really disappointed in President Biden because...

Let's face it - Joe Biden has been President for 16 months, and not once has he weighed in about 'The Great American Toilet Flushing Crisis'. Not once.

Nor has Denmark's Prime Minister ever gone on television to explain to Biden that "Greenland is not Danish. Greenland belongs to Greenland" and "Greenland is not for sale!" Not once in the past 16 months !

And let's be real - he has yet to hold a televised Cabinet meeting where where everybody at the table had to praise him and say how good looking and intelligent he is, or else face the consequence of losing their Cabinet appointment. Not once has this happened in 16 months.

I'm very disappointed in President Biden. It's as though he doesn't know the real duties of a President.

reply

He hasn't done anything at all, because he's a doddering old fool who doesn't know what day it is.

reply

Yeah really. And when will Biden talk about that great historical achievement in 1775 when the US military took over the airports?

reply

Were those historical achievement in all 57 states, including the ones where they speak "Austrian"?

reply

Plus he's not doing a damn thing about China's hurricane gun!

reply

Also, wildfire season has begun and he has yet to mobilize the CFRC(Civilian Forest Raking Corps!)

reply

I think it has been mobilized, idiot.

Strange how not a single other news source mentions this...I wonder why that is? 🙄

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

this however looks legit and reports a change in strategy
https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-08-21/california-burning-is-it-time-to-rethink-forest-management

the question now is how good was Trumps exact sugeestion and is the reported change anything like the same thing, cos they did have fire fighting /prevention techniques b4 trump too

reply

"Even more controversial than prescribed burning is mechanical thinning, a vegetation reduction process that can involve chainsaws, masticators and other tools to clear out certain types of trees or densities of trees. While some ecologists believe that removing accumulated fuels can help limit the potential for catastrophic fires, others have argued that thinning can in fact make conflagrations worse."

While I suppose it's possible, I'm guessing that rakes are not among the "other tools" mentioned...Seems a bit labor intensive!

reply

well , you know , lets not split hairs, when the Big Orange says "rakes" , I'm prepared to believe he was generalising to include power assisted rakes .

on the other hand - if he meant actual rakes it would get around this issue mentioned in the article:

When mechanical thinning or logging are done for profit — or when whoever is doing it gets to use the timber they’re taking out — that instead incentivizes removing the oldest, biggest and strongest trees, which fetch a higher price, and leaves behind the trees that are the least fire-resilient, he said

reply

You're an actual moron.

reply

ecologists don't know forest management. The latter is a useful degree!

reply

How are things in Glocca Morra?

reply

I hear a bird, Londonderry bird,
It well may be he's bringing me a cheering word.
I hear a breeze, a River Shanon breeze,
It well may be it's followed me across the seas.
Then tell me please
How are things in Glocca Morra?
Is that little brook still leaping there?
Does it still run down to Donny cove?
Through Killybegs, Kilkerry and Kildare?
How are things in Glocca Mora?
Is that willow tree still weeping there?
Does that lassie with the twinklin' eye
Come smilin' by and does she walk away,
Sad and dreamy there not to see me there?
So I ask each weepin' willow and each brook along the way,
And each lass that comes a-sighin' too ra lay
How are things in Glocca Morra this fine day?

reply

Sounds sort of grandish.
