Japan : Delta variant mutating in a way that will produce ADE in all Pfizer vaccinated

shareCan you break this down for me in a way that a simple-minded person can understand? I don't know Japanese. LOL see what I did there?

"Simply put, ADE is an immunological phenomenon whereby a previous immune response to a virus can render an individual more susceptible to a subsequent analogous infection"
You have no clue what the paper means.
shareHe never claimed to know what it means. He just provided a link and a headline. If he started spouting some random stuff thereafter, sure.
share"Simply put, ADE is an immunological phenomenon whereby a previous immune response to a virus can render an individual more susceptible to a subsequent analogous infection"
What it means is all those who got the Vaxx are more susceptible to covid or other viruses and having worse symptoms. We see this happening in Israel, Ireland, U.K. and here in the U.S.
It means, if true, the vaccinated folk are in big trouble.
shareI don't see ADE mentioned in the linked paper. Are there other references? That paper is specifically about Delta possibly acquiring complete resistance to wild-type spike vaccines. Regarding ADE, I'm only able to find statements of the opposite:

https://immunizebc.ca/ask-us/questions/do-mrna-vaccines-cause-antibody-dependent-enhancement-ade-covid-19-disease
https://www.medpagetoday.com/special-reports/exclusives/91648
https://www.nebraskamed.com/COVID/antibody-dependent-enhancement-in-vaccines
Hopefully it's not true, because that would indeed be bad. But I can't find anything mentioning cases of ADE (yet).

Thanks for those. That's the type of thing I was looking for.
Although, a couple of those articles make arguments against the French paper, and suggest that there have not yet been actual real-world signs of ADE. Just that the paper posits the very real possibility of it as indicated by their study.
The paper also points out that the vaccine trials and the use of the vaccines in clinical practice have led to no signs of ADE, either. So ADE in cells for SARS-CoV-2 does not seem to translate to animal models of infection, and nothing of the sort has so far been observed in the (huge) human population.I guess time will tell. This possibility is definitely something to be aware of. Just because many refute it (or even just question it), doesn't nullify it as a possibility. The takeaways from the study to highlight might be:
The study team concludes and warns that ADE may occur in individuals receiving vaccines based on the original Wuhan strain spike sequence (either mRNA or viral vectors) and then exposed to a Delta variant.
Hence it was found that these infection enhancing antibodies not only still recognize Delta variants but even display a higher affinity for those variants than for the original SARS-CoV-2 strainBut as far as I can tell, this was the result of a study, and hasn't been directly observed in humans (yet), although if it mentions that it has been I missed it. Hopefully that’s a good sign, but it’s better to be informed and worried than hopeful and blind.

Delta + Variant is already here so yea it is mutating
Indeed it is.
