shareKeep in mind Trump's believers aren't just saying Biden's win is illegitimate. They are saying it was illegal because of specific illegal means. None of this is normal or routine.
The people who are merely illegitimate in the eyes of the Trumpist believers are Mike Pence, Mitt Romney, Mitch McConnell, etc for going along with Biden's illegal victory. That "illegitimate" has no real teeth. It's just opinions. It's become routine now because of the vile nature of politics in general, like Bill Clinton being "illegitimate" because of his impeachment, Hillary was "illegitimate" because of her emails, Obama was "illegitimate" for his birth certificate, Indonesian residency, lack of college records, Obamacare, tan suit, terrorist fist jab, his wife was never proud of her country, Bill Ayers, etc, etc, etc. It's routine primarily because the GOP knows their base allows those extreme levels of toxicity which is why they were all so accepting of Trump. Trump's toxicity was the first time dems were compelled to fight fire with fire.
They were only willing to call him illegitimate though, ie winning less popular votes than Hillary. Since that's true, they can opine he's illegitimate. As I said that label has no teeth. But they never went the full monty saying he was an illegal president who got less electoral votes than Hillary.
Also, assuming you read through this whole thing (doubtful), Hillary fucked up by not campaigning in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Her defenders that specifically claim Russia persuaded those three states to vote against her are very few just as they were in 2017. But it's something we can't know. We DO know this election wasn't stolen from Trump though. But Trumpists are fucking stupid.
