I can't answer better because it obviously depends on the problem you are facing.
Faith never helps if you don't already start as a believer. And remember, if things go wrong it's always God's will.
So it doesn't matter what happens, nothing can make you reconsider your beliefs but you.
How come a true believer never says, God let me down?
No matter what, they never ever question their faith.
As if it's fact based. It is not.

God is truth - which is fact. And we have an enemy that we allowed into our atmosphere - invited into our lives. If we wanted things perfect then we should have left things alone in the Garden of Eden.

If someone from a different religion believing in a different God than yours wrote this as an answer to you, it wouldn't make you reconsider your beliefs. This shows you how unsatisfying the answer is.

You have to give a good in reality grounded reason why to follow and to believe the fairytales mentioned in this particular book.
There are many books out there and many of them are more reliable and trustworthy than the bible.
The Bible is the only Living Word. The life and resurrection of Jesus are documented in historical works (Josephus). Historical facts cannot be fairy tales.

It's pathetic. Think for yourself. This is YOUR life. No one should tell you how to live it. Not the Bible, not your family or your pastor. And certainly not me! Start to make own choices and stop being dependent on anything out of the ordinary that some people made up a long time ago. All you have for certain is this one life. Embrace it!!!
I’ll follow the science which states people 50 and under have a 99.9% chance of survival. Ie it’s utterly pointless for them to take any action whatsoever other than maintaining a strong immune system.

It's not only about death. There are young people who are living with lingering symptoms.
Most young people live with parents and relatives with medical issues like asthma, heart disease, diabetes, overweight, etc which make them vulnerable to serious complications.
The faster we all cooperate by wearing masks and social distancing, the faster we can end covid and restart out econony and do normal things like go to school, ballgames, parades, etc..

You'll follow the science when it fits your agenda, but what about when the subject turns to climate change? Still a big believer in the word of science then? Yeah, I didn't think so.
