Look up the Davis Bacon act it left over from Roosevelt or some shit. It keeps people from lowballing government founded projects and includes everything a good employer can offer. A lot get that contract and sub it out to migrant workers an fudge the books to their profit.

Fairly certain it's the same for overseas American funded civilian contractor projects. Especially in warzones; think that tacks a few dollars on too.

My wage for my high stakes trade is over 60 an hour plus per diem and whatever bonus you can earn.

Think about how we wreck other countries and then rebuild them. More schools especially.
