There needs to be a constitutional amendment that allows a Presidential pardon to be overturned by 3/4 vote in House and Senate.

He was already looking at jail time for some while. The question is for how long? Trump DOJ says 7-9 years is too excessive for lying under oath, threatening witnesses, witness tampering, the usual breaking the law type stuff.

The four federal prosecutors who took the case against longtime Donald Trump confidant Roger Stone to trial withdrew their involvement Tuesday after top Justice Department officials disavowed and undercut them by reducing the government's recommended sentence against Stone.

I wonder if Trump will now pardon if not probation Paul Manafort or any other of his cronies that's currently in jail. Wouldn't be surprised.

Of course he will.

Again, this calls to mind: if Trump can do all this, what's to stop him from must suspending the elections, refusing to concede to a loss, extending his term or de-legitimizing the election results against him? Seems all he needs is Barr and McConnell and he can do pretty much anything.
