Why are fake pro-Trump accounts running rampant online this entire past week?

Are there any Yahoo.com users here? Has anyone else familiar with those comments sections noticed a sudden massive spike in fake pro-Trump accounts over there lately? I mean, more than usual. They've always been there but they are quite massive now--on a scale I've never seen.

These are the classic hallmarks of fake pro-Trump accounts there:

-They have 10,000 + posts in their histories despite posting for a brief time (There are dozens of them like this over there)

-They usually contain a picture of a dog, MAGA graphic or some stupid graphic that shows Trump with a buff body and American flag in one hand and a machine gun in the other as if he's Rambo

-Poor English

-Same exact phrases in all their posts: "MAGA", "Trump 2020 and BEYOND", "Trump Trump Trump Trump Trump!", "FOUR MORE YEARS! FOUR MORE YEARS! FOUR MORE YEARS! FOUR MORE YEARS!", "Red wave coming!", etc.

-MASSIVE copy-paste posts full of propaganda

Anyone who's anti-Trump over there is also experience massive thumbing down of their posting histories. Very obvious group efforts where your posting history for the past several days will suddenly receive 5-10 concentrated thumbs down all across the board on every post you've made, regardless of content.

Honestly, those Yahoo comments make IMDB look like child's play in comparison.

So, my question is...WHY? Trump got away with it. He's been given his golden ticket to just do whatever the fuck he wants. His approval rose after this impeachment. So...why the need for all the extra fake pro-Trump accounts?

I don't know about Yahoo, but it's definitely happened on Flipboard. Hundreds of obviously fake accounts registered there in droves starting in January, and probably outnumber regular posters 10:1. It's not just pro-Trump, but pro-Sanders trolls posting bullshit about "Democrat elites screwing Bernie." They are all over the Iowa Caucus news items there ranting that this is proof that the Democrats are fucking over Sanders.

We have to do something about this. Silicon Valley is EVIL. They REFUSE to stop any of this, claiming it's not their job to police the internet and bullshit like this. So, maybe it's time to start doing what they do in other countries and that's shut down the internet until a major event has ended.

No. Not spot on at all. Atomicgirl's view was that of a centrist, not a leftist. She even included Sanders supporters in her hypothetical ban.

When will you Trumpers realize that Trump's biggest critics are centrists? And when will you realize that centrist democrats have essentially the same politics as centrist republicans? Like Bloomberg for example. Seriously, when?

I read that stats with high support for him is misleading because many people left the Republican party and now identify as Independents. Republicans in the suburbs have turned against him. The source was a former Republican political strategist.

I'm seeing more and more articles that outright say that Trump's presidency is basically over and the main sum of the Trumper replies I'm amount to: "Nuh-uh!".
