WINNING? Thousands of Americans will be jobless, as AT&T benefits from T-rump's tax cuts and sends jobs overseas

AT&T is set to save more than $42 Billion from T-rump's 2017 tax cuts, but they're not investing it in American jobs as T-rump and Republicans claimed they would. Instead, the company plans on cutting thousands of jobs across thew country, starting in a matter of weeks.

A year ago, after receiving a $3 B tax cut from Republicans, AT&T announced "new and expanded alliances with big outsourcing companies to replace workers with foreign or cheaper domestic talent.” Now those foreign workers have been trained by the Americans who will see their jobs cut in the coming months, according to internal documents obtained by Axios.

According to the documents, most of the thousands of employees who will be heading to the unemployment lines have worked for AT&T for well over a decade, and will not receive any severance packages.

T-rump has remained silent about the upcoming plans at AT&T, even though he made ending the offshoring of American jobs a centerpiece of his 2016 presidential campaign.

What a son of a bitch Donald Trump is! What he's doing is beyond disgusting--and disgraceful, to boot!

reply

Remember when he said all these tax breaks to AT&T were going to 'trickle down' to the employees ? In January, 2018 they gave everyone a $100 bonus - then the trickle stopped. Now they're firing thousands !

Why so silent, T-rump ?

reply

It's not surprising that Donald Trump is pulling this shit. He's the absolute worst president that we've had so far, although the rest of our presidents have been no bargain, which helped Donald Trump's ascension into the Oval Office. I even know some Republicans who couldn't and would not vote for him, because he's so disgusting.

reply

Was unaware Trump was the CEO at AT&T.

reply

He's not (you republicans sure aren't bright, are you ?). Try to follow along:

T-rump's the architect of his great tax plan to give generous tax breaks to wealthy corporations such as AT&T (rather than the working classes in America) and promised low and middle-class workers that the tax breaks AT&T will pocket ($42+B) would be passed down to them via generous pay raises and high-paying jobs at the company.

Once again, he lied to Americans and thousands of AT&T American workers are screwed thanks to T-rump. Of course, T-rump isn't addressing this these days - he's running for cover.

reply

Trump can't control what private businesses do with their money. He isn't the CEO. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink it.

reply

Then the equivalent of that is:

Obama had no control over those doctors in private practice who chose not to participate in the AFCA, and deserted their patients. The plan was for everyone to keep their doctors, which Obama touted - just like T-rump's plan was that AT&T was going to give generous pay raises and invest in more jobs in America... which he touted.

But when Obama's plan didn't go the way it was supposed to with all private practice doctors participating in the system, Republicans never ever said "It's not Obama's fault. He's not your doctor!". They never said, " You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink it." Instead they said "It's all Obama's fault! It's all Obama's fault!"

So what's good for Obama, is certainly good for T-rump.

reply

So what is good for T-rump is certainly good for Obama then?

reply

It was a predictable outcome. Anybody that thought companies would take the money and do what's best for America were just being naïve. How many times are voters going to let republicans implement trickle-down economics without voting them out?

reply

Either Trump had no idea big corporations would do these things with his tax cuts... or he was in on it from the beginning.

So he's either stupid or he scammed the working class. Take your pick.

reply

Trickle-down economics does not work. It's the big lie that republicans continue to push.

reply

a rising tide lifts all boats. Unless your'e doing it wrong.

reply

But it didn't lift all boats. Trickle-down economics does not work. Companies do what's best for them, not Americans.

reply

It's been nearly a 40 year 'trickle' and boats are sinking. We should have listened to George HW Bush when he warned America that Reagan's "trickle down" theory was nothing more than "voo doo economics". Boy, was he right!

reply

Reagan's economic polices saved the US from a much worse downtown than the one in 2009 when Carter put the US in the shitter.

reply

If Reagan was responsible for saving us from a previous administration's economic policies, then so was Obama.

And then Clinton saved us from Reagan's monstrous deficits.

Did Trump lower Obama's deficits? Hell no he didn't. He made them even higher, by giving tax cuts to corporations like AT&T... so they could send jobs overseas.

Again, either Trump is a complete idiot or he's part of the scam. Take your pick.

reply

What economic policies did Obama save us from exactly?

Clinton saved us from Reagan deficits? How?

Did Obama suggest cutting any entitlements? Pray tell?

reply

Can you believe what these idiot T-rumptards want us to believe ?

Imagine if Obama promised Americans AT&T was going to invest their $42B in tax breaks into their employees by giving them 'big raises' and 'creating more high paying American jobs' within the company ? And then AT&T trickled that $42B overseas ?

They wouldn't be saying 'it's not Obama's fault'. That's for sure.

2. The headline says "forcing workers". Forcing? Are they training at gunpoint, or can they quit? Slanted article much?🤪🤪🤪

3. If you owned a business and you had a choice of paying a worker $10/hr or $15/hr, for the exact same output, who would you hire?🤪🤪🤪

4. Look fat, here's the deal. Joe Biden says, "Learn to Code".🤪🤪🤪
