There are roughly 29 on-going investigations re: Trump and his family from various agencies and committees. Since indictment of a sitting president is unsettled law, it makes more sense to wait until he's out of office and bring charges based on evidence including from the Mueller Report which would lead to indictment, multiple fines and imprisonment.
