Favorite Villain Lair?

Numerous films have featured a climax that took place in an elaborate lair of bond's nemesis, ranging from a Futuristic Space station, to a submarine facility inside a supertanker.

My personal favorites I'd say would be the Control Room under the Cradle in 'GoldenEye'. Between the action that took place there, I rather liked the layout.

The launch site inside the crater in You Only Live Twice. Iconic, wondrous to behold. Given a perfect introduction at just the right point in the film, and utilized for maximum effect during the movie's finale.

The volcano will win this, just as it won this last time we did this.

Now, this is a signature gun, and that is an optical palm reader.

Verily I say unto thee...the magnificent volcano lair in the sublime and NEVER to be surpassed YOLT.

reply

Yeah, the volcano is probably the best.

Shout out to Dr. No's elaborate apartment and Piz Gloria.

No debate: The Volcano. It set the standard.
Second place:The Space Station in MR. I generaly don't care much for Moonraker, but Ken Adam's design for Drax's lair was just brilliant.

In fact, when it came to designing great VIllian's lairs,no one came close to Ken Adam.

When Le Chiffre says "I'm afraid your friend Mathis...is really my friend Mathis." That's villainous.

What no man Can give ya. And none Can take away.
