Needs more hair for next film

We all could use some more hair.

It could work the way you say, the commercial is a good example for that.

But would it be too different from the previous films?

Plus if it was different enough, some folks might find it helpful pretending it's not Craig at all.

Not at all. If you look at Sean Connery from Dr. No to Thunderball, clearly his hair (toupée) changes. Roger Moore's hair changed, and even Brosnan's hair changed (for the better, some suggest).

Daniel Craig has sported different cuts in the past 10 years. But I think this kind of haircut would be a neat change.

If they decide to continue down the SKYFALL path then Bond can return to Scotland and sport the Highlander look!

Connery, Moore, and Brosnan! Accept NO substitutes!
