I think Dalton's accent is cooler than Connery's.

Blasphemy, I know.

I'm aware that Connery's Scottish brogue is so iconic that we just let him do it in every movie regardless where the character's from, and it is very badass. But...Dalton's voice just strikes me personally as cooler. I love his rustic Northern accent sort of poking out from under his RP dialect ("Whoevah she wahhs, I most'ave scahhhed the living daylights outta her!"). It really works for his character--he's still a charming gentelmanly Bond, but just under the surface is an angry no-nonsense soldier. Having traces of a sort of working class accent in his voice reminds you of that.

If you must blink, do it now.

Nonsense. The Great Scot will never be surpassed in such a manner.

I like Dalton as much as the next person, but that's a bit much.

I don't think so.

Now, this is a signature gun, and that is an optical palm reader.

Verily I say unto thee...you may find yourself alone in thinking this.

I don't know if its cooler than Connery's accent, but it is awesome!

I love the way he says "years" in the Youtube video posted above. I also love how he says "strawberry" jam in TLD! It sounds like straw-bree.

The way he laughs in HOT FUZZ is fantastically evil.

I am watching him in PENNY DREADFUL right now. We are all blessed to still be able to enjoy such an immense talent.
